With full vehicle support, a local guide, and carefully designed routes, this tour combines cycling, culture, and relaxation — the ideal Greek escape for riders of all levels.

Daily Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Poros & Warm-up Ride (D:~20–25 km – Elev. g: ~400 m / D: 12.5 - 15.5 m - El.g: 1312 ft)

Arrive on Poros Island, meet your guide, and set up your bikes. Safety Briefing.
Enjoy an easy warm-up loop around the island, passing Askeli Beach, the Temple of Poseidon viewpoint, and the scenic hills above the harbor.
Relax and unwind with a welcome dinner by the sea.
Overnight: Poros


Day 2: Poros → Methana Peninsula Loop (D:~ 75 km – Elev.g: 1247 m / D: 46.6 m - El g: 4091 ft)

Take the short ferry across to Galatas and ride north toward Methana.
Climb to the volcanic village of Kameni Chora, visit the famous crater, and descend along the coast through fishing villages and thermal springs.
Return to Poros in the afternoon for a well-deserved rest.
Highlights: Methana Volcanic sights, quiet roads, sea views.

Day 3: Poros → Thermisia Karantzas Galatas, Poros (D:~ 96.6 km – Elev.g: 1947 m / D: 60 m - El.g: 6387 ft)

Ride through the coastal roads of Thermissia and Koilada toward , one of the most elegant seaside towns of the Peloponnese.
Evening free to explore Poros town.

Day 4: Ancient Epidaurus (D:~ 92.8 km – Elev.g: 1413 m / D: 57.6 m - El g: 4635 ft)

Ride inland via Trizina and Lygourio to reach the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, one of the greatest masterpieces of ancient Greece.
Guided visit of the archaeological site and lunch nearby.
Highlights: Ancient Epidaurus, cultural heritage, scenic countryside.
Overnight: Poros


Day 5: Departure from Poros

Breakfast and departure at leisure.
Optional morning swim or coffee by the harbor before taking the ferry back to Piraeus or your next destination.

    A professional guide accompanies the group and typically rides near the back to ensure safety, pace coordination, and overall support.
  • Luggage Transfers:
    Your luggage is transported daily by the support vehicle.
    Participants are responsible for placing their bags in the van each morning.
  • Support Vehicle:
    Our support vehicle stays close to the group to help with:
    Mechanical assistance
    Hydration & snacks
    Spare parts
    Safety support throughout the ride

What’s Not Included:

  • Airport/train station transfers (available as add-ons)
  • Travel or bike insurance
  • Bike rental (available via “Rent Your Bike” section)
  • Personal travel to/from Greece
  • Meals other than those specified in the program are not included.
  • Tips for guides, drivers, and hotel staff are not included and are at the discretion of the participant.
  • Entry fees to archaeological sites, museums, or attractions are not included unless otherwise stated.
  • Drinks and beverages other than those provided by the support vehicle (water, electrolytes, basic snacks) are not included.

Documents:

A valid passport is required for all non-EU visitors.
EU citizens may travel using their national ID card.


Travel Insurance:

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for the duration of your holiday.
We strongly advise choosing a policy that includes medical cover and trip cancellation protection.


Weather:

Greece is famous for its warm, sunny climate.
Weather conditions may vary depending on the season of your tour, so we recommend checking the forecast before traveling.
Regardless of the month, Greece consistently offers excellent and unique cycling conditions.


Booking & Payment:

Reserve your place by clicking “Book Now” and paying the deposit.
The remaining balance is invoiced 10 weeks before the tour begins.

  • Airport Transfers:
    Private transfers from the designated airport to the starting hotel can be arranged upon request.
  • Spare Parts & Accessories:
    All essential spare parts are stored in the support vehicle and can be supplied whenever required.

    Varies depending on model.

Bikes & Equipment (Mandatory Requirements):

To ensure safety and smooth navigation, the following items are mandatory for all participants:

  • GPS Bike Computer:
    A bike computer (Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, etc.) is required.
    Participation without a functioning bike computer is not possible, as navigation relies exclusively on GPX files.
  • Helmet:
    A helmet is mandatory for every rider.
  • Pedals & Cycling Shoes:
    Participants must bring their own pedals and cycling shoes, as pedals are not supplied with rental bikes.
  • Recommended Extras:
    Two bottle cages
    Front & rear lights
    Lightweight wind vest or rain jacket
    Personal saddle bag (optional). CQG will provide one for you with spare tubes and tools.
    Preferred energy gels or snacks (although support vehicle will provide general options)
  • Energy & Hydration Note:
    Energy drinks, hydration tablets and basic cycling snacks are available in the support vehicle.
    If you prefer specific brands or products, please bring your own.

Spare Parts Policy:

All standard spare parts (tubes, tires, tools) are carried inside the Cycling Quest support vehicle.
They will be provided whenever required during the tour. (Except the extras that you will have in your saddle bag)


Fitness & Riding Level:

Each tour has its own level of difficulty.
Please review the daily distances and elevation profiles to ensure they match your personal fitness level.

If you feel unsure about whether this tour suits your ability, contact us and we will happily guide you based on your experience and riding background.


Important Notes:

All riders must follow the guide’s instructions and local traffic regulations.

Routes may be adjusted depending on weather or road conditions.

Please inform us of any dietary restrictions at least two weeks before the tour.

Bring any personal medication you may need.

If renting a bike, please provide your height, inseam, preferred saddle height, and other fit details before arrival.

Liability & Responsibility

Losses or damage to bikes and equipment caused by negligence are the responsibility of the participant and may incur additional costs for repair or replacement.

Cycling Quest Greece is not responsible for personal items lost during the tour.

Participants are advised to ensure their travel or bike insurance covers personal equipment and accidental damage.

Participants are responsible for the proper handling of rental bikes and equipment. Any damage not related to normal wear and tear will be charged accordingly.
